Quip Riot is an online party game. Hosts can create an account; players can join rooms without one.
Host accounts contain a name, email address, securely hashed password when using email sign-in, sign-in sessions, and linked Google account details when you choose Google. Google sign-in requests basic profile and email information, not access to your mail or files. Provider tokens are encrypted at rest by our authentication service.
We save hosts’ custom decks and a directory of their rooms. Active rooms store player names and avatars, game settings, answers, votes, drawings, scores, and reconnect credentials. Do not put sensitive personal information in player names, decks, or game submissions.
We use this information to sign you in, restore your rooms and decks, run games, reconnect players, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. Other participants see the information required by the game’s rules. Private prompts and unrevealed submissions are restricted until the relevant game reveal.
Cloudflare hosts the app and stores account and game data. Better Auth handles authentication within our Cloudflare deployment. Google processes Google sign-in if you choose it. Authentication may record IP address and browser information for session security; operational logs may include request metadata. The online app does not send game content to an AI service.
Essential cookies keep hosts signed in. Local and session storage keep player reconnect credentials, room access details, and preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or sell personal information.
Inactive rooms expire after seven days. Account information, saved decks, and the room directory remain until deleted; room expiry does not delete your saved account library. Host sign-in sessions last up to 30 days unless you sign out or they are revoked. You can delete saved decks in your account library. Clearing browser storage removes that browser’s player identity, but does not delete server data.
To request account deletion, access, or correction, contact jovaughna.stephens@gmail.com from your account email. We may need to verify ownership before making changes. Backups and security logs may take additional time to expire under the hosting provider’s retention practices.
