THE QUIP RIOT FIELD GUIDE

Game night starts here.

Learn how to host Quip Riot, connect a shared screen and invite friends using their phones. Players join with a room code, without accounts or downloads.

Your game-night checklist

  • One phone or browser device for each player.
  • A laptop screen everyone can see, or a computer connected to a TV.
  • An internet connection and a host account.
  • Between 2 and 12 players. Check your chosen game’s minimum.

From group chat to game night

  1. The host opens a room.

Sign in or create a host account, create a room and choose a game. Open the TV display on a shared screen so everyone can follow along.

  2. Everyone joins on a phone.

Scan the room’s QR code or open the join page and enter its six-letter code. Choose a name and avatar. Players do not need accounts.

  3. Read the rules. Start the riot.

The host starts when everyone is ready. Follow the prompts on your phone, watch the shared screen for reveals and switch games between sessions.

Who does what?

The host

Creates the room, chooses the game, opens the TV display and starts rounds. Keep the dashboard available for game controls. To play too, join on a phone.

The players

Use their phones to draw, write, vote or solve puzzles. Keep private prompts on your own screen and look up together for the reveal.

Choose your first game

Start with Who’s most likely? for a quick social round, Redline for a simultaneous maths race, or Sketchy Business for drawing and deduction.
